The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Skills Session is the in person hands on practice and testing portion done after completing the BLS HeartCode Part 1 Online Course. During the skills session a BLS instructor will guide the student through a series of life-threatening cardiopulmonary scenarios.
BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
